Vintage Taboo offers its members a history of sex, asking if you realized that as far back as the 1860s there were photos of sex, bondage, and spanking. They update five days per week and have over 300 movies in their collection. Let’s check it out!

The Layout

There is a menu along the left-hand side of the page, and the main page of the site greets you with categories to choose from. Your options are: Pre-1920s, 1920s – 1930s, 1940s – 1950s, 1960s – 1970s, Movies, Burlesque, The Stars, Magazines, Illustrations, Native Girls, The Funnies, Contact Us, and FAQs.

The Content

The Photo collections here are further broken into categories like Boobs, BJs, Derrieres, Girlfriends, Fetish, Catfights, Cheesecake, Hardcore, Hose, French Postcards, and Spanking. Clicking on any of these categories will then take you to a collection of pages full of images.

The photos here range in size but most are at least 600×400 pixels and of great quality. These are not fake vintage images, and are collected from many sources I can imagine. Someone spent a lot of time, lovingly scanning and touching up each and every one of these pics I bet!

In The Stars section, you’ll find vintage lovelies like Candy Barr, Kathy Suits, June King, Bettie Page, Terry Higgens, Judy O’Day, Candy Earl, and Juli Williams… to name a few. In the Magazines section are all kinds of racy vintage magazine covers!

The Movies section features movies in QuickTime format, intended to be downloaded to your computer, though you can choose to watch them streaming to your browser instead if you wish. Movies range from the pre-1920s all the way up to the 1970s. There is also a section of movies titled The Stars and at least half of the movies are in that section, so make sure you don’t miss it. I had no problem streaming movies into my browser, they played immediately and with little trouble.

It took me just ten seconds to download a two minute movie on my broadband cable connection, and it played in Real Player without any hassles. There are LOTS of movies here with classic vintage tease, burlesque, bathtime, nudity, titty squeezing, fucking, lesbians and hardcore.

The WOW Factor and Bonuses

I really enjoyed seeing the magazine covers and the illustrations, and if you are into jokes, there is a funnies section too. I think that the “Native Girls” section feels more like main content to me, but it’s fascinating to see these erotic postcards and images featuring ladies from exotic countries. At the time there was nothing wrong with taking nudes of “natives” because it was for anthropological purposes, though in truth it was thinly veiled erotica… as you can see in the classical poses and drapery. Quite beautiful!
